I love photography, but it would meaningless for me if it wasn’t for the memories made while visiting these amazing places. In other words my primary motivation is because I love hiking and I love being in nature. I would hike and backpack even if I didn’t have a camera.
Several years ago I started keeping track of my trail mileage each year. This seems like as good a place as any to record it. I love hiking. Hiking has provided me with many amazing memories and is an excellent form of exercise, providing health for both the body and mind.
500 miles seems to be the goal I am aiming for. I haven’t got there yet, but 2016 looks like it will be the year. I feel truly blessed that I am able to get out as much as I do. I am thankful for a patient and understanding wife, thankful for the opportunities I have been given in life that enable me to have the financial freedom and time to do this, and thankful to live in such a beautiful place where trails are right outside my door.
