Our National Parks are almost universally loved in this country. One of the many things that I love about our public lands is that they are an equalizing force in a country that is increasingly split in terms of wealth distribution. There is a trail that I often hike up on the benches above Utah Valley. There are monstrous mansions a few hundred yards from the trail head, but once you enter that National Forest those people have no more rights or privileges to the land than I do.
I thought it would be fun to keep a tally of the national parks that I visit and how often. Frankly I am shocked at how few parks I have been too.
